My life under paper.

Hello, thanks for dropping by, I’d make you tea but my computer skills don’t stretch that far.

I blog about writing for writers – sometimes other life events spill over into it but mostly, it’s writing related.

That heap of mess at the top of the page is my desk. My office is usually full of children and animals and all the bits of rubbish they leave in here. Right now I can see a pot of glitter, a pair of socks, two smoke alarms, a very small unicorn and  a light up snowflake.

What this says about my life, I have no idea.

My debut YA novel, More of Me, will be published by Usborne in February 2016.

“More of Me quite simply has the most original, compelling and incredible concept I’ve ever come across – and yet it’s so convincingly presented that you believe every second. The result is truly unique and utterly unforgettable – a book that demands to be talked about. We are so thrilled and proud to be the publisher to introduce Teva’s shocking and extraordinary story to the world.” Sarah Stewart

  1. Hi Kathy,

Isn’t it amazing what you can find with google on a cold wet saturday afternoon!

Very interesting, see you soon, no doubt,

    Paul.

  2. Aw, this was an extremely nice post. Finding the time and actual effort to create a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and don’t seem to get anything done.

  3. Hi Ms. Evans.

    I am writing from Canada.

I chose a pen name in University and it stuck.
Then on a whim tonight I thought I would google it to see what has happened in the 8 years since I chose it….How many are out there?

Kathryn Evans. total: 8 (on googles 1st few pages.)
It’s strange to see so many and also to find one that is a writer.
It is really too ‘world is too small” for me.

Just a quick not to say that I truly like your blog. I especially like the part of posting old report cards.
I now teach grade one (age 6) and I look at my old report cards and chuckle/ look about perplexed.

    Same thoughts you had. 🙂

Anyway just know you have an awesome name. Someone miles away thought they invented it as a perfect pen name.

    But it’s yours.
I have some baby name books to read now.

    (sigh)

    🙂

    Keep on writing!

    Meghan
